Double Pole MCB Connection Diagram – 2 Pole MCB Wiring
Today I am sharing a double pole mcb connection diagram. In which I will show the complete method of wiring of double pole MCB (Miniature circuit breaker). As you know that we use the double pole mcb circuit breaker as the main circuit breaker in our single phase distribution board. We can also use this type of breaker for DC supply switching and also we can use it for single phase machine or single phase induction motor controlling or switching on/off.

As I told you that we use this breaker as the main circuit breaker in our single phase distribution board. In single phase wiring, we have two main supply wires in which one is Neutral (N) and the other is Phase (P or L). This breaker has 4 terminals or connection points. Two for entering the supply and two for output supply. This breaker is installed between the way of electric supply and we can switch on/off the power supply from this breaker. This is too important to install a double pole mcb breaker in our one phase distribution or mainboard. Because we can switch off the power supply during the new electrical wiring connection or other electrical installation or maintenance work. And we can work safely by switching off this main circuit breaker. That’s why I am writing the post about the double pole mcb wiring diagram.

As I have written above that double pole mcb have 4 connection points. In which two are for incoming and 2 for outgoing. In double pole mcb we can connect our incoming supply to upper points and can get output supply to load from bottom side connection points (terminals) or we can also connect our incoming supply to bottom terminals and can get supply from the upper terminals.
Here I have shown the double pole mcb circuit breaker wiring diagram with incoming supply N and L and output supply wire to the load.
In the above diagram, I have shown the double pole MCB circuit breaker which is installed in a box. So if your box is made from metal then also provide the earth or ground wire to the metal body.
